The first Iraq food & plastprintpack took place in Baghdad from 15 to 17 April 2019. Since then, the organisers have continued the event with Agro Pack, Food & Plast Iraq annually in Erbil.
At the unanimous request of the exhibitors and participating institutions, the trade fair will now be organised at both locations from 2025, in Baghdad and in Erbil.

Between 2015 and 2023, Iraq’s imports of food and packaging technology increased at an annual growth rate of 15.4%, from €76 million to €239 million, making Iraq the third largest Arab importing country in the Middle East after Saudi Arabia and the UAE (VDMA). Iraq food & bev tec

Food imports also surged between 2018 and 2023, up 6.2% annually, rising from US$ 10.9 billion to US$ 14.7 billion (WTO). This solidifies Iraq‘s position as the third largest food importer in the Arab Middle East, following Saudi Arabia and the UAE Iraq food
